Bryan Charles Kocis – Big Mess in Little Luzerne County

May 15, 2007 in Bryan Kocis Murder by Harlow-Cuadra-Forum

Every little detail about the “lives of” and “the actions of” Harlow Cuadra and Brent Corrigan leading up to the murder of Bryan Charles Kocis have been (and are being) examined in minute detail by gay blogs and gay adult video fanatics. The purpose of this blog post is to look back at the Political Climate that existed in Luzerne County the Monday before Bryan Kocis’ was allegedly killed on Wednesday 1/24/07.

The Picture We Get From Newspapers and Blogs coming out of Luzerne County is that Long Time Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Conahan ruled Luzerne County Common Pleas Court with an iron fist. Judge Michael T. Conahan was President Judge of Luzerne County Court in 2002. And, Judge Michael T. Conahan was the Judge who presided over Bryan Kocis’ 2002 guilty plea for “sexual abuse of a child” (Kocis video tapped himself having sex with a 15 year old boy). Conahan would later change/correct Kocis’ 2002 plea to “corruption of a minor” four years later in 2006. Conahan handwrote the note “not subject to Megan’s Law requirements” on the order correcting Kocis’ guilty plea in 2006.

On or about 1/22/07 in Luzerne County, Bryan Kocis was attracting a lot of NATIONAL attention to himself and his history with an underaged boy via Kocis’ various press releases and lawsuits (real and fake) against Brent Corrigan. While the Police in Luzerne County/Dallas Township had video tape proof that Kocis had sex with a 15 year old boy in 2001, Kocis was not a registered sex offender. Brent Corrigan was charging Kocis with knowingly using an underaged boy in a gay video Kocis’ Cobra Video company made (the boy in question was in fact Brent Corrigan himself).

In January 2007, Bryan Kocis was attracting a lot of attention to himself, his 2002/2006 criminal case in Luzerne County Court, to Judge Michael Conahan and the Luzerne County DA’s Office when elections for Judge and District Attorney of Luzerne County would be coming up in May 2007. The Current District Attorney of Luzerne County is running for a seat as a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Luzerne County. And, a current Assistant District Attorney for Luzerne County is running for District Attorney.

The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office was quoted in Luzerne County Newspapers as saying the following in re Bryan Charles Kocis:

( 1 ) In 2002, The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office said that Bryan Kocis had a vaild mistake of age defense to the 2002 child molestation charge against Kocis for Kocis having video tapped himself having sex with a 15 year old boy. However, according to one Newspaper in Luzerne County, The State of Pennsylvania does not ALLOW “mistake of age defenses” in child molestation cases.

( 2 ) Some time in February 2006, The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office had joined with Bryan Kocis’ lawyer Al Flora in saying that Bryan Charles Kocis’ 2002 recorded guilty plea was a mistake and that Kocis’ actual plea was “corrupton of a child” (a plea that did not require Megan’s Law Registration). The Attorney Al Flora and the Luzerne County District Attorney went back before Judge Michael Conahan in 2006 and “corrected” Bryan Charles Kocis’ 2002 guilty plea.

NOTE: There is ongoing goosip on the net that a lawyer for Brent Corrigan contacted the State of Pennsylvania in 2006 and asked the Department handling Megan’s Laws issues why Bryan Kocis was not a registered sex offender. Allegedly, this call by a Lawyer for Brent Corrigan was done AFTER Brent Corrigan was sued by Kocis in federal Court in San Diego. The implication here is that Kocis 2002 guilty plea may have been “corrected” in 2006 after the State of Pennsylvania asked Luzerne County WHY Kocis wasn’t a Registered Sex Offender.

The HIT on Luzerne County Judge Ann Lokuta

A political blog coming out of Luzerne County described a judical misconduct proceeding against Female Judge Ann Lokuta as A HIT.

Luzerne County Judge Ann Lokuta is described as a female judge in Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas who is NOT part of the Good Ole Boy Network. From what we can tell, on or about 1/22/07, Pennsylvania’s Judicial Conduct Board (Chaired by Patrick Judge) should have already brought a proceeding against Judge Ann Lokuta seeking to remove Judge Ann Lokuta from the bench. Various websites and blogs have hinted that Judge Michael Conahan was one of the prinicpal partys seeking the removal of Judge Lokuta from the bench and that Judge Michael Conahan and the Chairman of Pennsylvania’s Judicial Conduct Board, Patrick Judge, are “friends”.

So, right after I run a piece about the hit job pulled on Luzerne County Judge Ann Lokuta, and the rumors that President Judge Conahan and other members of the bench were secretly involved with the complaints leading to the charges, two County employees, using County property and on County time, are investigating whatever background information the internets will cough up on the Slob. http://www.abigfatslob.com/2006/11/inquiri…nt-to-know.html

Another Luzerne County Political Blog has hinted on a “relationship” between the Chairman of Pennsylvania’s Judicial Misconduct Board and Judge Michael Conahan.

Some attention was given to the recent announcement of Patrick Judge to
Chairman of the State’s Judicial Conduct Board. The State Judicial Conduct Board monitors Judges to ensure they are behaving and acting according to the Commonwealth’s Constitution. Originally based on the West Side of Luzerne … Of current interest is Patrick Judge’s current role as chairman of the State Judicial Conduct Board and their efforts against Luzerne County Judge Ann Lokuta. He is the first lay person (non-lawyer) to serve as chairman of the State Judicial Conduct Board. A quick look through Internet searches shows some of the people who have relationships with either Patrick Judge or Patrick Solano and many are known political players in Northeastern PA, including Luzerne County Judge Mike Conahan who controls Luzerne County’s Judges with an iron fist.

After Bryan Charles Kocis IS Killed

After Bryan Charles Kocis is killed on 1/24/07, there is an immediate scandal in the press in Luzerne County over why Kocis was not a registered sex offender and over how Kocis 2002 guilty plea could be completely “corrected” four years later in 2006. THIS SUNDAY, Judge Michael Conahan announced that he is retiring from the Court of Common Pleas in Luzerne County at the end of the year.

The Current District Attorney for Luzerne County is reportedly ahead in the polls to be elected Judge of Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas. And, The Current First Assistant District Attorney for Luzerne County is reportedly ahead in the Polls to be elected the First Female District Attorney for Luzerne County.

The Judicial Misconduct Proceeding against Judge Ann Lokuta is still pending.
